This
is relatively an easy trek and is done either from Paro to Thimphu
or Thimphu to Paro. The actual trekking days are five days. You can
see many lakes full of trout fish, beautiful views of high mountains
and variety of rhododendron. The ideal time would be in spring when
you can see many varieties of flowers.

REMARKS:
During
this trek, you will be averaging 7-8 hrs. of trek. The highest
altitude on this trek will be 11,900ft. The main attraction of this
trek will
be that you will pass through a number of villages with typical
traditional Bhutanese houses. You will also be travelling the old
passes
that were used by the Bhutanese for centuries. You will see alpine
forests adorned with rhododendron of various color. You can visit
the
Pumla monastery. If the sky is clear, you can view the "Gangkhar
Puensum" - the highest mountains in Bhutan. From Phajoding, you
will
descend into Thimphu valley and there on for a short drive to
your
Hotel.

REMARKS:

trek takes you to one of the enchanting valleys of Bhutan where the
rare Black Necked Cranes visit the valley every winter. The actual

fishing this is an ideal place. One can also see life in this
isolated valley which has kept the tradition, culture and the
language still alive.

This Trek is comparatively a challenging trek taking you to
an altitude
of 4,820m above sea level. You can have the closest view of Mount
Chomolhari. The actual number of days of trekking is 9 days and
there
is a halt for one day at the base of Mount Chomolhari. The Trek
ends
at the northern part of the Thimphu valley.

REMARKS:
This
trek is similar to that of the Chomolhari Trek 1. There is no halt
at Chomolhari base camp. After reaching the base camp the trek turns
to the west landing at Paro again. The actual number of days of trek
is six days and it comparatively easier than the Chomolhari Trek 1.
From the end point of the trek you drive to Thimphu for sight seeing
of the valley.

Trek leads you through semi-tropical forests where orchid is

plentiful and, if lucky, one might have the opportunity to come face

face with the very rare Takin - Bhutan's national animal. The

hot
spring, which the Bhutanese believe has medicinal value. In
this
package you will not only trek to the hot spring but will also have
the
opportunity of visiting the Thimphu and the Paro valleys.

trek provides spectacular views of the valleys and mountains
around Thimphu. It takes you to an altitude of 5,050 m above sea
level.

various types of trees and flowers around the area. It also takes
you
through a typical Bhutanese village.

This
trek is an extension of the Bumthang Cultural Trek. After reaching
the Bumthang valley you head towards the Hot Spring. It takes you
through an altitude of 3,780 m above sea level. On this trek, you
will pass through a number of villages. The actual trekking days is
8 days -with one day halt on the way. Travelling to Bumthang takes
much of the time.

REMARKS:
The
trek starts from central Bhutan and ends in eastern Bhutan. Actual
number of days of trek is 11 days. The trek starts from Bumthang
through Lhuntsi to Tashi Yangtse to Tashigang, all in the eastern
part of Bhutan. The entry point for this trek is Paro (Western
Bhutan and the exit point is Samdrup Jongkhar (extreme east)
covering a distance of over 500 km. On this trek one can witness the
changes in vegetation, the way of living of the people and the
animal and the plant world. The highest point on this trek is 3,720m
above sea level.

REMARKS:
Compared
to other treks this one is a tougher trek. The actual number of days
of trekking is 15 days with a day's halt on the way. This trek takes
you to an altitude of 4,870 m above sea level. One can have the most
enchanting views of the mountain range and can also see a variety of
animals and flowers. If one is lucky there are chances of spotting
snow leopard. Yaks will be accompanying you through most part of the
trek. This trek continues onwards towards the east rather than
turning towards the Thimphu valley. It takes you to the Laya village
at an altitude of 13,000 feet where the people have a completely
different way of life compared with the other parts of Bhutan.

is one of the most challenging treks in the world and it demands
great physical fitness. The actual number of days of trekking is 23
days with two days halt on the way. It takes you very close to the
highest unclimbed mountain in the world 'Gangkar Puensum'. The trek
provides spectacular view of the Himalayan range that fall within
Bhutanese territory. It takes you to the height altitude of 5,140 m
above see level. You will be passing through the highest human
settlement area in Bhutan.
